Celebrate who you are and work toward being better.</p><p>Strange as it may seem, I think that’s the eternal composition of we. Work on being better. And as a thought (especially on publishing) we need to work on telling better stories, with better editing – all in all producing better works. It seems that’s the new word of 2023. Better!</p><p>So celebrate the celebrity of being better!</p><p>As we close the door on one year and open the door to another, let’s begin with less compromise and more investment in the promise. I mean the promise of printing, publishing; sharing the great works that are within us. Delivering them with solid expertise and worthwhile, read that, worthy content for the public dollar.</p><p>It seems or at least I’ve noticed. It’s a race to copy rather than improve. Especially in the low content market. It’s a race to put out rather than put out good. And that has filtered over to the medium and high content category in that no one wants to write but everyone wants to be published. I’m not berating Fiverr workers (I myself have labored in that particular marketplace). But the amount of low quality products people are buying and distributing is sabotaging the industry. But that bad news, we’re celebrating the new year – new ideas.</p><p>New concepts and creations as a result of a partnership with Life in Print and other publishing partners.</p><p>We’re changing things up a bit and solidifying our ability to help you develop as writers, producers; publishers of content with a thought of bettering ourselves and the people who receive our offerings. </p><p>A Book journey is focusing on the consumer aspect of publishing and marketing. The people aspect of publishing and distributing with a goal of putting out and helping others to put out better material that actually betters the world. Whether fiction or nonfiction; high or low content books. </p><p>A Book Journey is changing and we begin today, celebrating the change.</p><p>Have a blessed and Happy New Year!</p><p>We look forward to helping you be and become.</p><div><br /></div>the voice behind the penhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10004735384194412228noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3241097905665928819.post-66135481623027296822022-02-25T07:00:00.001-08:002022-02-25T07:00:00.216-08:00A Firebrand with a Message<p><table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgiDpGaP_N2jVYJVyOF9aG5Ty2b3lIHgocRjSo2O5fL6sW1vHxbAI5KaltwpSwlWGnp1MQO2-bxIWbj-ti4zGUtL3MZs8M1zaSdvYr0QG9DFD9eDlflYwFuX9Xl7OxVA4ZEE5tjLisskaIlG594b-RJzPey0RvE47YfKNlpBAtPKDI0_0t_CYtV6cNisQ" style="clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="" data-original-height="1595" data-original-width="1595" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgiDpGaP_N2jVYJVyOF9aG5Ty2b3lIHgocRjSo2O5fL6sW1vHxbAI5KaltwpSwlWGnp1MQO2-bxIWbj-ti4zGUtL3MZs8M1zaSdvYr0QG9DFD9eDlflYwFuX9Xl7OxVA4ZEE5tjLisskaIlG594b-RJzPey0RvE47YfKNlpBAtPKDI0_0t_CYtV6cNisQ" width="240" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><i><span style="font-size: x-small;">In Print and Ebook Editions</span></i></td></tr></tbody></table><br /></p><h2 style="text-align: left;"> A Wealthy Call for Action</h2><p></p><div>I got my hands on an advance copy of this treasure today, <b><i>Capitalism and The Social Contract</i></b>. </div><div><br /></div><div>A simplified look at economics and race, racial disparity, over the course of American development. <br />
Notable milestones may seem few and far in between for young authors. Whether we're talking your first novel or a simple blog post as is the case here, writing is an action which requires action - being an author necessarily does not. To be fair I enjoy being an author, however writing at times seems so tedious when it doesn’t bear an immediate fruit to view.<br />
<br />
I mean an author or someone had to write the material being published, but once it's written it can be embraced or discarded on the simple whims of readers (publishers, agents, book buyers). A career as a writer or author can seem filled with discouraging news and yet on this journey I for one refuse to accept…<br />
<br />
Today, to this point, I celebrate - continuity! <br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
I revel in the willingness to continue through stagnation and indifference, through turmoil and upheaval... My fellow authors, writers and publishers who have tried with mixed results yet they continue to. I salute you!<br />
<br />
I support your stick-to-itiveness of pursuing a passion and working to develop it into the world changing harvest you know it is. The garden your faith believes and expresses in every written word or syllable, Today I celebrate you! <br />
<br />
In fact, in this long journey we’ve shared, I embrace you. <br />
<br />
Thank you for walking with me and way to go ladies and gentlemen we are almost there.</div>

I mentioned before, every author, to be successful, needs a catalog. (<a href="http://www.abookjourney.com/2013/11/build-library-build-your-audience.html" target="_blank">Here's A Quick Reminder</a>)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0e/Stipula_fountain_pen.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0e/Stipula_fountain_pen.jpg" height="133" width="200" /></a></div>
As a new author, on the journey to success and wealth in being published, you want the most from every effort you put toward being published or gaining notoriety. This is especially true if writing has moved past the hobby interest stage to you. It's become a serious passion and drive to be successful, not simply published. In order to accomplish this, you need words.<br />
Whether in print or electronic media, we've discussed establishing a library. However, have you ever thought a truly great library/ catalog isn't about a number of books? An expanded library doesn't have to offer but one book. And I don't mean necessarily a series title.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
What I mean by this is. Your first work may or may never be published. But the world you’re creating in writing is the library you’re building. If an author can learn to expand the content he/she’s creating... You can easily create an ever expanding catalog of offerings for the reader. This applies to article/ content writers, journalists, or novelists. Your name is the signature of your work. It’s also the centerpiece of the library you want built. <br />
<br />
Most only consider their name for earnings or publicity purposes. The reality is however; your name equates to readers the discovery of an expanding universe to explore in the written word. The more catalog you have available the larger the context to see the image you’re painting of the world. And the larger the gathering will be the next time you introduce an expansion to your library. In other words, when you release your next book.<br />

Books may express a range of things. This book caught my attention this morning and I share with you the review that drew me to it's pages.<br />
Excerpted:<br />
<br />
Do you prefer one-on-one talking to group activities? Do you prefer
solitude over parties? Do you tend to avoid risk? Dislike conflict? Work
better on your own? Feel wiped out after being around people all day?
If so, you may be introverted. There’s a test in the book which can help
you to be reasonably sure. Introverts make up at least 1/3 of all
Americans, and may constitute much more. And yet American culture is an
extroverted one, with extroversion often held up as an ideal.<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://bplolinenews.blogspot.com/2014/09/book-review-quiet-power-of-introverts.html?spref=bl">Birmingham Public Library: Book Review: Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a W...</a>: <a href="http://encore.bham.lib.al.us/iii/encore/search/C__SGarrison%20Keillor__Orightresult__U?lang=eng&suite=beta">Garrison Keillor</a> once did a humor piece called “<a href="http://encore.bham.lib.al.us/iii/encore/record/C__Rb1262452__SGarrison%20Keillor%20happy%20to%20be%20here__Orightresult__U__X2?lang=eng&suite=beta">Shy Rights: Why Not Pretty Soon?</a>” If you think that’s funny, you’ll probably like this book. </div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
As a writer and speaker, if only in print, your words have
value both to you and your audience. This doesn’t mean they’ll catch every word
you throw. There may be some hiccups in understanding some things. Yet being
heard in a traditional sense of publishing is no longer as huge a gain as
gaining distribution and the ability to reach the reader personally, on a
personal level. In fact there are various forums and platforms to distribute
your work to the reader. Many authors search and identify these routes t be
published. Yet few ever consider where is my audience listening ?</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I don’t mean the brand names or traditional houses. Where
does my reader hangout and find books to read? While grateful platforms like
Createspace and Amazon, Blurb and Smashwords as well as LuLu exist, their
having made writing and publishing easier and more profitable does nothing, for
an author if you don’t know. How or where to market your book? Where is your
audience listening? </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
This is an important step in the process of being heard and
publishing printed works. You need to be in the place or places people are
hearing what you have to say. Or to be heard you should be where they will most
likely listen to you for a full sales minute. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Not simply to promote your book, but promote you as a
serious addition to the discussion. They’re there listening you can join the conversation,
becoming known, and build a loyal listening audience for the next book or
series to come.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
It may seem obvious, yet reality is. Writers write. Some may
read. Some may edit. Most will critique endlessly. A few will buy books , as
entertainment, or education in most cases. But to be heard, to be a successful
writer publisher, the independent author needs to find the platform his/ her
audience enjoys and maximize it. Stay tuned to your audience and they will stay
tuned to your writings.</div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Distribution is the key to having a voice in as many places as possible. With that,
I’d like to personally welcome Deeper Shopping to the journey of books. You
find a link to these very fine people further down the page. I might add they
are a fine venue for authors, especially Christian writers, to get their voice
further out and be heard. They also share two qualities I think are necessary
for any author to find success. One being location and the other being
accessibility – as a southern (<st1:country-region>U.S.</st1:country-region>)
writer. I think finding a local distributor is a unique find especially in
publishing. I also believe being able to reach the distributor and being kept

Many author’s pen there own biography page. Especially new and independent authors, the reason they give being, it’s more cost effective. However let me
present why it’s probably not the best idea.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
The author’s note or about me is the most biased self
serving piece of writing anyone can do. It absolutely shouldn't be written by
the author, because usually it’s created to serve as a marketing tool rather an
accurate depiction of what the author really is (vocally) or who He/She is
personally.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
What it amounts to is a social fluff piece meant to serve an
interest but not giving the readers a chance to make an emotional connection
with the author.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
It’s not so much that they can’t be convincing. Actually
they can be written as such. It’s because as information access becomes easier,
you can quickly gain and lose your audience if your credibility comes into
question.</div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
For some writers this may not be all that important. However
for a career writer (article writing) it’s more important to be authentic and
dependable with words. Better this than to create a character who no one can
trust because it’s discovered to be based on untruths. Because ultimately, if
that don’t trust what you've written – you lessen the likelihood you’ll get
paid a career earning (living) wage in the long-term.</div>

<h3>
Emotions equate to sales:</h3>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The writing profession has had many lives. But today almost
exclusively the fastest way to earn money as a writer is based on the ability
to elicit an emotional response from readers. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
What some would equate to going
viral. Your words can spread quickly and earnings rise quickly with a massive audience. This can even set the stage for future earnings. If, that is you’re able to make or
paint an emotional connection for your reader.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
This is so, because earning money writing is increasingly
all about content. Publishers pay for content, because content sells fast. Sex
sells. Scandal sells. Emotions sell.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
If the reader can make an emotional connection with your
work, you could get paid handsomely. This is why many authors are turning to
content marketing, niche building, copywriting, and online article mills. While
others are turning to blog building to reach their audience.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Creating a blog for instance, offers a chance for a direct
connection to an audience. This makes the selling, publishing, producing process
more efficient in line with getting paid quickly and exponentially.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Exponentially, because creating a blog for example, you’re
not sharing revenue with printers or publishing companies. But be careful, you
also can limit the growth ability of your audience.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
This is where the emotional connection is made most
important.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Once your reader has an emotional connection to your work, you’ll
likely gain a loyal subscriber, benefactor – purchaser of your materials. That
is as long as they remain interested in you and your voice remains interesting
to them.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
It’s akin to growing your family where everyone connected is
concerned for your well-being. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
You get paid. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Your words sell. </div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">

<div id="docs-internal-guid-3c8fb9d9-3963-884b-259f-3ad3473fc625" style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; line-height: 1; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">It is popularly quoted, there is no I in team. And many consider team building an essential to creating lasting success.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; line-height: 1; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">Let me however provide, two places there is an I. Library and Audience. Two places that exist to fill a need every author, writer, speaker has. </span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; line-height: 1; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">Two places, also, you need to be if you hope to find success in writing/ publishing. It's not a misspelling, these two places have the eyes you need to improve your chance at success. </span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; line-height: 1; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">That's the point of you putting work into your writing; building an audience. But first you need to build a library. </span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"></span></div>
<a name='more'></a><div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; line-height: 1; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">As a practical matter, the two as physical places have constant eyes, constant traffic. There are people there searching for material to read, to ingest – so you; your work should be there. Both you personally and you through publications should be in a library, which has an audience. Which also means having something to offer that audience your library.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; line-height: 1; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">This means you need to have more publications, plural – more than one. But let's come back to that.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; line-height: 1; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">First it must be acknowledged, many authors will struggle to find success. Success meaning, an audience for their work or a showcase for their productions. Many authors will struggle to find a market because they see their works as individual. They create pieces that may never be joined by context. Yet they are already joined by authorship. Your publications are connected by you.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; line-height: 1; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">Your voice is the heart of each paper, each article, and each published work you produce. It doesn’t matter if it bears your name. It’s the shared voice, the shared imprint that helps create the market you seek.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">Therefore to find success, to gain an audience – you have to build your library.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; line-height: 1; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">There has to be a library or catalog of material bearing your imprint. This litany of material will then help the audience discover you as a writer. This will help readers find you, your voice in print. If you don’t produce a library, your book will be like searching for a needle in the proverbial haystack. It doesn’t matter if it’s the best book ever written.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; line-height: 1; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">You can be on the shelf and never get checked out if no one knows you’re there. Or worse, you get checked out and read and reshelved for days, weeks, months on end before anyone stumbles upon you again for a look. Because no one knows you’re there.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; line-height: 1; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">This is why libraries are essential. </span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; line-height: 1; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">A physical library or digital library, doesn’t exist without material to read. Your library can’t exist if it hasn’t been written. You won’t build an audience if no one knows you’re a writer.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; line-height: 1; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">This makes it vitally important to build, create your catalog. Having your own library will help you achieve an audience and eventually grow that audience to bestseller or successful levels. </span></div>

<b></b>
There are a lot of gifts you could give this holiday season, but when it
comes to something really meaningful, there’s nothing quite like the
gift of a book made with your own hands.<br />
But before you start having visions
of gluing and sewing together pages, check out the <a href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=540794&u=839312&m=31260&urllink=&afftrack=" target="_blank">Blurb Gift Center</a>.<br /><br />
<a href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=540807&u=839312&m=31260&urllink=&afftrack=" target="_blank">Blurb</a>
lets you make seriously beautiful books using their free tools. Just
add photos and text, choose your options (like paper and cover type),
and then order. Of course, you do have to decide just what kind of book
you want to make.<br />
But relax, because the <a href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=540794&u=839312&m=31260&urllink=&afftrack=" target="_blank">Blurb Gift Center</a> has the perfect tools and some great ideas.<br /><br />
For instance, if you’ve got a genealogical bent, there’s the <a href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=540795&u=839312&m=31260&urllink=&afftrack=" target="_blank">Blurb Family History Book</a>.<br /><br />
For those with newborns (or those that know someone with a newborn), a <a href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=540797&u=839312&m=31260&urllink=&afftrack=" target="_blank">Blurb Baby Book</a> might be just the thing.<br /><br />
And if you’re the kind of person who keeps getting asked for copies of your recipes, think about making a <a href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=540798&u=839312&m=31260&urllink=&afftrack=" target="_blank">Blurb Food Book</a>.<br /><br />
This holiday season, make your gift recipients feel really special by making them something special. There really is a <a href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=540799&u=839312&m=31260&urllink=&afftrack=" target="_blank">book for everyone</a>. <br /><br />
<br />

Happy Book Making!</div>

<div style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 16px;">
Here are two ways to boost your income as a freelance writer.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 16px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 16px;">
From the Article: <span class="blogheader" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">How to Explode Your Freelance Writing Income with Copywriting and Copyblogging By Halina Zakowicz</span> Available at <a href="http://writersweekly.com/this_weeks_article/008110_08142013.html" target="_blank">Writers Weekly</a></div>
<div style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 16px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 16px;">
Copywriting and copyblogging are two highly lucrative writing fields yet too many freelance writers continue to "grind it out" at small-time blogs, "mom-and-pop" businesses and non-profits. In some cases, these freelance writers assume that they don't have the right credentials to land a corporate gig. In other cases, they are intimidated by the corporate world and its profit-centric terminology such as ROI, KPI, sales copy, landing page, marketing collateral, etc.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 16px;">
However, aside from being prefaced by the word "copy," copywriting and copyblogging still involve writing well for an audience. </div>
<div style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 16px;">

There is a voice in everyone that yearns to be heard.
Whether expressed creatively, or informatively, the words that seed our thoughts
look for an outlet beyond simply speaking. We want to be heard to be
understood. In essence we seek to set ourselves apart as a resource. Available
and reliable as a tool to assist others, therein providing a valuable service
to them as well as a lucrative benefit to us - the working writer.<o:p></o:p><br />
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
The question is how do you do this?<o:p></o:p></div>
How do you share your voice, and ensure its likelihood of
being heard?<o:p></o:p><br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
Firstly, you could write powerful material. It seems simple
to say, but the reality is content is king. If you want to be heard, you need
to have something to say. Most importantly it has to be something that needs
(yearns) to be heard; or will compel an audience to listen. <o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
If your words aren’t compelling they could easily fall flat,
or worse not gain the audience you seek.<o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
Secondly, you need to write credible material. Having
something to say is great. But if the voice speaking isn’t reliable, read that
credible, it’s likely to go unheard. Not because your audience isn’t listening.
They simple don’t believe in the qualifications the words possess. This can
happen because the author’s choice of words, or the perceptional background of
the writer. Which leads into point three…<o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
You are your credibility. <o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<o:p> </o:p>Style and technique have primary importance for a writer.
They are the source of the words you choose and the literal picture they paint
for your audience. However your backstory, your character is important to the
credibility of your discerning audience. For instance a grammar (English) major
is no more credible a source for a book on cooking techniques, than a chef is
for a book on writing principles. The foundations don’t match. To an audience,
your audience, unless they’re the same person – the credibility’s don’t match.
It’s the equivalent of trusting a mechanic for financial advice. Who would do
that?<o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
In all likelihood nobody. So as a writer you need to make
sure your biography matches the content you intend to produce.<o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
Failing this, I would contend if you desire to be heard. Or
more accurately seen as an important or emerging writer; you should learn a few
<a href="http://f51d5l3omfglo6b89eh6pzch6.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=PEN2" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">important techniques to building an organic audience</a>.</div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<o:p> </o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
This is important because of the competition for audience
intention. One thing that may be encountered even utilizing these techniques is
the market voice of selections available daily. Because the availability of <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>books and the book market, the writing market,
has been made more accessible with the<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>move to electronic publishing, it is important to learn some special
techniques to assist you in having your voice heard.<o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
This can be accomplished by<a href="http://3579fgvx8-pjllf-p01zmgpcas.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=ABJ" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> Reading our Guide to developing your book</a>.</div>

<div style="text-align: right;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihyphenhyphen8wIHZNFCgICoOIX1_RVYFKKxSMnJ-uV0rgI-c4ZE4Mom5F_wf1wS3MKrPkzqTHm3mMOIZkBV4sWm-M-A-gmUUTIqQd_JqcRAKLNVnQ7_tiiCZ6MZ-DZ7F8MzBoOgkd2-RsgDAT8QDBS/s1600/SelfPublishing-300x203.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="135" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihyphenhyphen8wIHZNFCgICoOIX1_RVYFKKxSMnJ-uV0rgI-c4ZE4Mom5F_wf1wS3MKrPkzqTHm3mMOIZkBV4sWm-M-A-gmUUTIqQd_JqcRAKLNVnQ7_tiiCZ6MZ-DZ7F8MzBoOgkd2-RsgDAT8QDBS/s200/SelfPublishing-300x203.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
Every author imagines themselves being published and
eventually becoming a bestseller. Most, outside of writing time, dream of gaining the notoriety and fame
that comes with having your book in print and read - received well; by a large audience. However,
this occurs for few authors. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Most will over time decide to pursue a small market strategy of
publication. For many of these authors the process can seem tedious and
burdensome because of the varying elements necessary in operating an independent press. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The most extensive of these can often, and has left many, feeling
discouraged. For them being a small press and book distributor that has to
market and sell what he/she has written - is too much of a process to every seem to pay what is put in it.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
With marketing and
advertising plans it seems you’re limited to you and your expertise. That is
unless you have room in your budget to employ others. For some, especially new
writers/ publishers this can be disillusioning. You’ve put together a well-crafted
piece that no one or few get to read because you don’t have an established
market; or better said no one knows you exist.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
There are a number of ways however to remedy this - to market
your book and encourage distribution. With the advent of POD (print on Demand)
and especially EBook publications; there is no requirement to hold inventory of
your book (which costs). And with many companies [Amazon for instance] having
an independent publisher alternative, your work can be distributed with just a
few clicks.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Your final concern then would be sales. How do I actually
make a profit from my book?</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
A quick and simple answer would be using a social media strategy. Not
surprisingly social media can drive sales of your book. The question is how to
get my writings, my published book into the social media spectrum? </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
